Consider all past figures who've had a tremendous influence on the world overcame that feeling of insignificance. Many came from nothing, yet still affected change. The power and influence you speak of are largely earned, not handed out. Also remember that even small acts of philanthropy can have large-scale effects. If you've done so much as concern yourself with how you can help others - which you have - you're on track to achieve great things. Just keep your head above water. I wish everyone had your desire to better the world.

That is exactly how I feel. It's so depressing. I feel that I have so much to offer to help the world be better, but noone cares what I think. I wish so badly that people with power and influence could listen to what I had to say.

This isn't a joke. I have found a way, but it will take many years to accomplish. From a very young age, I realized that I was destined to create strong artificial intelligence. Perhaps after I complete my invention, I can use it to solve so many of the world's problems!

I feel that way all the time! I am a humanitarian at heart, but I am stricken with inertia, and just think about what I want to do, instead of doing it. Which isn't helping anyone. I need to get off my behind, and do what I can, no matter how little or small. If everyone would do one small thing to help someone, the world would be a noticably better place.

But what good do you have the power to effect and influence as it presents itself in the immediacy of you life?

It is madness to be think that one is called to do everything, such folks usually collapse into doing nothing, and live in frustration. Instead, bring your mission into focus, and ask yourself if there is a single good that I can accomplish right now, that appears at this moment in my life, and am I preparing myself to offer the best of my gifts and talents to that task.

One is not called in this world to do everything, but we can all do something. And remember, even the smallest gesture of kindness can have repercussions for good that are universal in scope.

Suffering is beautiful. The only isolated moments of true joy and beauty come from the deepest of suffering. For everything there is a time and place under heaven.

It hasbeen proven over and over again: A tiny pebble, in a pond, even though a tiny ripple, impacts the whole planet.
Don't ever, ever, not throw a pebble.
Although the war may not be won in a single battle, if your not on the field, you can't win anything.

Yes. It's a horrible and depressing feeling, knowing and wanting to help but feeling like it wouldn't make a difference. If that's the case, It wouldn't hurt to try even if it's with little things or even if I help one person at a time.
