It doesn't have to. Depends on the significance one or both partners place on the experience. Because sex can be, at least for a while, an all-consuming thing, the act of sex can become the focus of the relationship...sometimes. That would certainly change a relationship. On the other hand, if having sex is merely one step in taking the relationship to a deeper level, then that is how the relationship would be changed. Or, if having sex was the goal of one or both of the parties,once the goal has been achieved perhaps one or both will lose interest in the other. Too many variables with this question.

Sex can change your relationship for the good or for the bad.
If you give it up too easy he might think your a whore or if you dont give it up easy enough he might think your a prude.

Sex can be good and loving, then again it cannot be.
I dont know what point you are in your relationship, but sex isnt an act and the emotions involved in it shouldnt be played with.

You can form a relationship where you have great sex, but enjoy little else together.
You can have great sex and enjoy alot together, or you can have good sex and so on and so forth.

Sex, changes everything, dont think for a minute that it doesnt, your fooling yourself if you think it doesnt change a thing.
