The official licensed broadcaster for world cup matches in India are Sony Entertainment television and Sony SET MAX are showing all the world cup cricket matches in India. However, Doordarshan has been given the right to telecast the matches involving India and also the semi finals and finals only and not all the matches. Since India are no more playing in the World Cup, Doordarshan can show only the semi finals and final.
