I thinks its the 49ers, because they have established a run game, and Alex Smith is gradually progessing to his full potential, and living up to expectations and there new defensive and offensive acquisitions. I think they can be a playoff contender this year. I think they will at least get a 10-6 record.

Some of you might think I'm crazy but so far I would say the Denver Broncos. They've added Dre Bly, one of the better corners in the league, to play across from Champ Baily. Granted their run defense wasn't great last year, but this year they can focus on that because they have two extremely reliable corners to stop the passing game. They also added Travis Henry and Daniel Graham on offense. Now, Shanahan is an offensive genius, especially in the running game. Depending on how well Cutler develops, that is going to be one scary team to face this year.

This may sound weird but I would say the Oakland Raiders. Your question asked the most improved. That eliminates all the teams which made the playoffs last year because there improvement would be minimal. The raiders if they finish at 8-8 would be a huge improvement and that is possible. They are not as bad as there record was last season it was terrible coaching. They will surprise people this year with better coaching and a more modern approach.

I know this may sound crazy but i think it's going to be the Detroit Lions. Rod Marinelli and the rest of the coaching staff are going to start moving this team in the right direction, and with a 3-13 record last season how can they not improve. They have alot of offensive weapons: Roy Williams, Kevin Jones, Tatum Bell (if they keep him around), Mike Williams. They need to pick up a few good defensive players, but i wouldnt be surprised to see them go at least 8-8 this season. They obviously aren't going to make the playoffs, but they will improve!

I think the most improved team will be the Oakland Raiders simply because they were so horrible last year, they had 2 wins, I think they will be able to go 6-10 this year. That is a 300% improvement over last season, so other team can imrove that much. The Raiders were a joke last year and were tough to watch, this year I think they can pull out a few more victories. They have a decent defense, they got somegood backs and should hopefully havea good draft.

I would have to agree with you. They have also added Nate Clements at corner back, Ashley Lelie at wide out. They did loose Antonio Bryant to Free Agency. If they have a good draft and fills some hole i could see 9-7. I think they may get a wild card spot. The West will be tough with Seattle still in good shape, St. Loius improving, and Arizona on the rise with a new coach and a second year QB. Being a niner fan i hope they can get into the playoffs and get back to the glory years of Montana and Rice.

If you base it on regular season win totals, you may have a good opportunity with the 49ers...however Most improved could be a subjective topic.

As I look around the league, I believe that one team stands out as a team who underachieved and as a result of coaching changes will now be a Championship contender...should they finish the deal, they would be the most improved...1st round loss to Superbowl Championship would be huge!!! So my pick would be the Dallas Cowboys

As a die hard Cowboys fan, I gotta say the Dallas Cowboys.

They have pursued their needs in the free agency by signing Leonard Davis and resigning Marc Colombo to fill the sieve they call an O Line, signed Ken Hamlin to a 1 year deal to help out with our atrocious secondary at FS, signed Brad Johnson to start competition with Tony Romo (Johnson will be a back up, I don't want another statue in the pocket), and resigned kicker Martin Grammatica.

They also hired 3-4 defense wizard Wade Phillips as head coach. Phillips has brought back some of his San Diego buddies to help out in his staff. I'm looking forward to the advancement of Jason Garrett as well as Tony Sparano. I think they are the future of the Cowboys. Look for the Cowboys to push to being one of the top 3 defensive teams in the league this coming season. I also predict DeMarcus Ware will have a beast of a season, along with Roy Williams. Ware, Williams, and Marcus Spears will have breakout years under Wade Phillips' schemes.

Tony Romo will be back with renewed confidence and an improved offensive line. T.O will be back with something to prove (what a surprise). The awesome duo of Julius Jones/Marion Barber will be back, along with the speedy 3HB Tyson Thompson. Jason Witten will continue to be a Pro Bowl TE. WR Patrick Crayton has developed nicely and is a nice target for Romo. Miles Austin and Sam Hurd showed some very nice stuff last season, so I expect them to play a big role in the offense/ST.

Don't be surprised to see the Cowboys win their division and fight their way to the top in the playoffs. By winning the Super Bowl in 2008, the Cowboys will be the most improved NFL team. =)

I can't stand the Patriots but I think they have done the best job so far. Adalius Thomas was a huge acquisition on defense. They also have two first round picks in the draft this year. Sure they lost Corey Dillon but Maroney is more than able to carry the load. Of course, Tom Brady is one of the best QBs in the game. Like I said, I can't stand 'em but they're on the right track to bring home another championship...

thats a tough one to answer. i have 3 teams that have improved dramatically last year: 1) packers-in hunt for playoffs after having 5th overall pick in draft the year before, 2) 49ers-dramatic improvement with their run game and passing attack, 3) lions-dont get me wrong, but they put up some fights in some of their games this past year. their offense was much better.

I think the Titans - just because they improved so much from the begining of their season to the end. I'm not a big Titans fan or anything so I could be wrong but when Vince Young started playing things got better for them - at least thats what my memory is telling me.

But I do like - The Inconvient Truth
