What other things should I be aware of? Stand in one spot? Don't move?

No - don't put any hands in any pockets. It's annoying. You should use your hands naturally. - to make gestures that apply to what you are talking about. Other than that - your hands should remain at your side. A podium is REALLY helpful - if you have access to one - use it.

If you will be using notecards - that pretty much takes care of your hands. I think that unless you are behind a podium - and you can set the notecards down - that notecards are very distracting and get in the way. Memorize what you have to say - if at all possible. And -if your presentation is to be memorized - then memorize it immediately. The sooner you know it - the sooner you will be able to actually start rehearsing it.

You're absolutely right. Unless your movement has a purpose - stand in one spot. Don't shift your weight or pace without purpose. You can move back and forth accross the stage at times to address the crowd.

Make sure you are always addressing your audience. Talk to them like you really like them, and that it is sooooooooo important for them to know about what you're saying.

If you have the oppportunity to choose your own topic - choose something that your are REALLY interested in - or REALLY passionate about. That makes it much easier to speak about it.

If you are worried about your hands, go ahead an put one in your pocket. Most people like to have both hands free to help them express themselves.

Concentrate on getting the message across. Focus on your audience as the target of your message. Keep your focus on the message.

Depends. If it's something formal or very academic, I wouldn't move too much; if it's more casual then you can move around. Either way, bring visuals so people have something to look at besides you. Don't chew gum, play with your hair, or say "like" and "umm." And definitely don't put your hands in your pockets.
