at the top of your voice from an upper floor window, and watched the Taxis stop? Ha ha the faces of the taxi drivers is a picture especially when you shout "Taxi, over here" They haven't a clue where you are.

must say sounds funni but no iv never done it cus i live over in the UK and taxis dont stop when u shout taxi over here :( but i remember wen i used 2 call the ice-cream man like that lol!

No. I live in NY (not NYC, the state of NY), and taxi drivers don't really respond to that. You have to call the company to get one to pick you up.
But I don't take taxis anymore. 1) Because I have a car, and 2) All the cab drivers around here are always perverts!
