My best friend is 13. She got her period two times in one month, which is really wierd. She also has been getting cramps in one of her feet where the toe pokes up and stays there, and she has trouble breathing when this happens.
What the hell is wrong with her? I'm really worried...:( Help.

It is not uncommon for a girl to get her period twice in one month. The reason is because her body is trying to adjust to the hormonal changes going on inside of her body.

Since her parents won't take her to a dr (which is very bothersome to me) to find out what is going on with this toe and the not breathing I would recommend that she talk to the school nurse. The school nurse should be able to help start to figure out what is going on.

Foot cramp is a sign of improper hydration or stress due to excessive exercises or shoe issues. 13 year old's typically have some very erratic periods for several months sometimes 2 month sometimes every other month. This is normal and should start to balance out in 6 months to a year.

Is there a health nurse at school? She should see her and at the same time tell her that her parents won't take her to dr. Maybe nurse will have some suggestions for her.
