He is the worst singer on there and others are being voted off I don't understand why he is being voted for please explain this to me?

It all has to do with this stupid, idiotic website that I've sourced below called votefortheworst.com. As you read through it, you'll see that these boneheads have kept the worst singers on Idol just because they want to.
I'm getting sick of Sanjaya myself. He had NO business making it to the top 12, let alone each week being "Safe".
Haley's also another one who should go. Hopefully, we'll get to see her leave this coming week or maybe, just maybe, we can get rid of Sanjaya's crappy voice.
I've reported this website to the powers that be at fox.com & americanidol.com. They need to get on the ball & shut this website down yesterday!

I saw something on Headline news about him earlier. He has a very strong "tween" vote going on, and also the Indian community is very behind him. They were interviewing "tween" girls on the street about Sanjaya and they were practically swooning over him. They went on to say that he has a high possibility of winning Idol. And also there seems to be alot of people voting for him just to bring Idol down.

My mom claims that the some of the teenage girls think he's cute! I don't think so at ALL! I mean, if American Idol were about looks, y would they be singing?! I was sooooo mad that Sundance was voted off instead of Sanjaya! I mean sure Sundance had some turn offs, but at least he had SOME talent.

Many people disagree with you and think that Sanjaya is the best singer on there and thats why they vote for him. I, among them. His quality vocals get overlooked because many people just pay more attention to his wardrobe and hairstyle instead of his fantastic singing ability.

I dont vote yet when I did I wouldnt vote for him. i respect blake!!! i concept if he positioned out the song he sung very last nighttime i could purchase it quickly. i respect that song yet how he sung it became staggering :) i wish he receives a deal quicker or later. i like the way he variations songs and how they sound. Sanjaya is to girly for me. + he isnt very solid.

he is terrible. i stopped watching the show last year because of taylor hicks. i am watching a few minutes of each show, lots of times i see sanjaya. he is truly, truly terrible. his vocals are weak, and please, no one can argue otherwise. ugh its so frustrating. i hate it. vote sanjaya off! some people are fasting till he get voteed off, which is stupid!

That is a very good question!!! I know that votefortheworst.com is encouraging people to vote for him, & I also heard that Howard Stern is too, just to screw with the competition. I personally am getting sick of seeing/hearing him. He just doesn't have it.
