Because the guys are all afraid that the gals will show them up, and play the sport better than they do. Men can't stand it when that happens!!!!! LOL!!!
Good question.

OK not to be disrespectfull, but. Remember why people actually went to the womens games? What they wore as uniformes go were pretty risque during their time. The majority of the fans were me. What is the one thing men think about more than any other thing???? SEX! Now I am not saying that woment can't play because they can. I thorughly enjoy watching the college world series for fast pitch softball. Mucho Talent!!!! But lets face it. The main fans of a possible professional female baseball leauge would be women and how many women do you know that actually sit in front of a TV and watch 3-4 hours of baseball?? As well as the fact that the womens rights groups would never allow outfits that portray the baseball players as sex objects, right??? I mean indoor womens volleyball has tons of womans rights groups jumping all over them simply because of the short shorts!!!! Forget baseball players in skirts. Teams earn the majority of their money from TV revenue and that would simply not be there now. Not when the MLB is thriving even after the Balco scandal. And lets not forget that it costs a whole hell of alot of money to feild a tem not to mention the up-keep of a professional baseball team. Also if you were to feild a female league you would either need to shorten the fences at actual MLB fields of build your own feilds. Either way your talking tons of money, with the later costing a whole lot more of course. I would love to see a professional female baseballl league. But it is just not finacially feasable. Sorry if you don't like my answer.

There were professional women's leagues at one time. There are teams for different countries, such as the Women's U.S. Team, but they play softball.
I'd have no problem with women playing professional baseball, as long as they can bring in enough fans. Their style may be different than men's baseball, but it might be just as exciting.
It's an interesting concept anyway. I suppose someday it'll happen again.

Unfortunately, women do not play baseball as a rule.
They play softball and quite well, and they do have a professional league. The women's Olympic softball team is one of the most dominant teams ever.
Having watched the movie you know why they played during that era.

They have a whole professional softball league. I don't think that they could get enough women to change to baseball to make it a womens professional sport. I myself enjoy watching softball because of the pace of the game. There is no room for any imperfection in the infield.

Because I pay $50 to sit behind homeplate and see guys throw 99 MPH strikes, to hit a baseball 490 feet, to dive out between second and third to barehand a ball ,blindly throw it over their head to second base for the put-out. If Albert Pujols, Johan Santana, Omar Vizquel put on a bra----I will pay to watch them play as women. But sorry ROSE (the above poster) science and human physics say you don't have a shot. And you do have J. Finch... in SOFTBALL. Which I only watch to look at her gorgeous...uh, "Form".

First answer is correct. Why is there not a Pro Womens Football? Duh, well one day there may be when women really live up to the expectations of "Equal Rights". To do a man's job women have to do what a man do. AND, I support this!!!! Heck, I try to support Women's rights and let my woman work and I stay home and wash clothes and watch soap operas. Dang, she want me to work too. :-(
