I had back pains too from a very early age too,if it is a muscular pain, then it will go away but if the pain is due to a disc, you may have it for the rest of your life. There is a theory that you are less likely to get disc problems later in life because the spine becomes "set" and less likely to become displaced.I hope your pain is just muscular, not that I wish you to be in any pain at all.One easy way to determine a slipped disc is to lay on your back on the floor and try to do a straight leg lift, lift one leg at a time,if there is no pain then it probably isn't a disc,if there is pain check with a specialist asap.Good luck

First you could have been born with a problem and it's just showing up now.
I wish you would have said what the more along that line is.
I had a great deal of back problems when I was younger, which I call 21-23,people kept saying use heat, use heat.
I finally went to therapy and the first thing they did was throw a 5 lb bag of ice on my back.
after awhile they came back in and said no heat just ice and explained the cold brings your back musles back in place to support you.
So from then on I filled gallon zip lock bags with water and laid them flat in the freezer.
I would take one out lay on the floor and place it where it hurt the most, then do some easy excercise right there.
I have not had any serious back problems since, and that was 35 years ago.
Please see a doctor first, your back as you now know is a very sensitive body part.

If you can't pinpoint anything that happened around the time your back started hurting, it could just be a weight or skeletal issue. I know my back pain got significantly worse after a spinal tap, but I had trouble with my back before that because of carrying a 30lb bag at 10 years old.

Most likely you will have back problems all of your life. If you are still growing, do go and see a doctor, but ask that they measure your legs. I was treated for years for lower back pain, then went to a chiropractor who x-rayed me and showed me that my pelvis was tilted due to one leg being slightly longer than the other. I just needed shoe inserts, and fixed the pain for the most part--but the idiot doctors won't treat short leg syndrome unless you make them check.

could be overweight. If you are really active you could have strained something and a few days of lighter excercise could heal. When i was young I had growing pains ,my bones were literally growing too fast. If you don't think it's any of these see a M.D., or try a chiropractor for realignment.
