My husband and I had the hardest time coming up with a name... we intend to name our daughter Sarah Noella (first and middle name). Honest opinions only... do you like it or not?

This may sound crazy... but looking at the ultrasounds of her, she looks like a Sarah Noella. We've also had some signs pointing to that name. When I was in the doctor's office, my mother-in-law was driving around looking for a spot to park, when a car with the license plate reading "Noella" drove past her. This was interesting because at the time, we did not know what we were having, but the day before, we told her we liked the name Sarah Noella for a girl's name. Is this a coinsidence or what!? There can only be one license plate with that name on it in each state... and it happened to drive right past her at that very moment. Crazy!

Our last name is very long and Ukrainian starting with an O. Don't worry, Sarah Noella will not rhyme with it.

I think they are both pretty names and I think they flow just fine.
Yes, Sarah is a common name; but it is also classic. Don't let someone talk you out of it in favor of a trendy name.
Things to consider:
1) It sounds nice when at least one of the given names match the surname/s.
Here are some alternate versions of the names in different languages:
NOELA f Galician (in Spain)
NOELE f French
NOELENE f English
NOELIA f Spanish, Italian
*NOELLA f French
*NOELLE f French, English
NOWELL m English (Modern)
There are MANY names that are related to SARAH on Behind the Name -- here are a few:
SADIE f English
SAIJA f Finnish
SÁRI f Hungarian
SARINA f English
SARIT f Jewish
SARITA f Spanish
SURI f Yiddish
ZARITA f Spanish
*(If you're going to use one of the French versions adding the accent mark is pretty and feminine: Noëlla/Noëlle)
2. Noël means "Christmas" so be prepared for questions about that name for a spring baby. (I have a nature name that has nothing to do with when I was born and I have always been asked.)
3. If you think that the name might be too common, try looking up the name in different combinations up on Google.
If you get too many hits for "First_Middle" and/or "First_Surname" you may want to reconsider the name -- if choosing too common a name bothers you.

I would drop the "A" at the end of Noella...so the name would be Sarah Noel. It sounds nicer. The name you have is pretty, I just like Noel better than Noella with Sarah.

I love the middle name but don't like the rhymey sound of the double ending sort of like a Dr. Suess character ...Sarah Noella Bluebella Rooella loved to sit under her Umbrella and drink Sasparella. Why not Noella for a first name? It takes courage to choose something unique and Noella is unique-good not unique-weird. Pair it up with a classy middle name (not a one syllable name though or it may sound too billybob).

I think the letter "A" on the end of Noella totally cramps the flow of the name. Sarah Noel or Noell sounds fine. I just think that A on the end is unnecessary and makes the name sound way too heavy or stuffy instead of nicely flowing which is what a little girl's name should do. In the end though, remember that it is ultimately your decision.

Very Nice. I would drop the a on Noella. it sounds better then both names ending in the sound "a" Sarah Noell. Keep the double "L" its unique. Best of luck

Honestly I don't like the two names together. I think I don't like the Noella part it sounds very Christmas like...and for a baby born in April....I don't know. HOWEVER, it is about what you like. If you like it who cares, you are the parents. It isn't a name that your child is going to be made fun of, Sarah is a very popular name and that might be the only issue you would have with it. As for a middle name, how much is it used? it is only used for applying for jobs and for when you call your child's name and she knows she is in trouble. I hope all goes well :)

Its pretty but I dont like the a sound at the end of Noella. Its too matchy and rhymes too much with Sarah. I prefer Noelle.

I think Sarah is a lovely name, even if its popular. Noella is not my style at all, but its your baby right ! I agree with others that Sarah Noelle sounds much nicer and has a better flow to it.

You want honest opinions? I don't really like Sarah. Noella is pretty. I agreed that our first child would be named Sara because my husband liked it so much. I knew in my heart we would have a boy. Which we did. It was stupid of me, because I never liked the name Sara, it was just too common.
Only my opinion though, if you love it. Name her that.
