Can a computer running XP Pro be linked with a home network to a computer running Win. 2000 Pro?? Im pretty sure it can't, but Im just making sure.

They can be used. Matter of fact I have 4 different OS's running here all on the same network. DOS, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows NT4, and Windows 2000 Advanced Server. All talk and play nice. Only real problem is that I have to keep the 8.3 naming in place or DOS can not see the directory structure correctly.

Yes it can. You will just need to set up the network through the wizard, you will probably have to install a few files from your xp disk onto your comp running 2000, but it will work.

This is easily done on Windows Based Systems. Setup your XP network and create a disk. Simple put the disk in other computer and run the setup program. Its that easy....

any windows os including 3.11, 95 98 ME, can be linked to a network running Win2k,XP, 95 or 98, Linux, etc ...the only problem is that FAT32 system cannot read NTFS ... u need to do a little tweaking ...

100%, Like a Normal Network....

There will be no issues, no FAT/NTFS effect when you are on network.

Just connect them through normal procedure.
