Most employers won't hire a 14 year old for full/part time work because of federal law. I believe you would need to be at least 16 years of age. You may be better off mowing laws or baby sitting since that's what you'll probably be limited to doing.

It's nice to see your looking to create your own income at a young age. Like other previous post stated, you could try doing something like being a bagger or working in a fast food resturant, but you must have your parents permission and they must check with the Department of Labor in Forth Worth before signing anything. My biggest suggestion is to find a hobby that you love doing with your friends, it may be quite profitable and you can make a business out of it. When I was your age, I wanted some money to buy brand-name sneakers. So, I went around the neighborhood selling candy, cookies and 'specials' ( frozen flavored ice in cups) after school. I was able to buy my sneakers and entire uniform for the school year from my earnings. So, you are creative enough, start brainstorming about how you can create your own business to keep ALL the profits!

You might be able to get a job as a bagger in a grocerystore, or a fast food job for like 4 hours a day or less.
