i was arrested when i was 16 but now im 17 and yet to get charged, it was my first offense but im wondering if i do get convicted will it stay on my record forever? it was a drug offense on school property and i live in alaska
any information is appreciated

It will be on your record, but when you turn 18, that record will be sealed and no one can use it against you.

There are rare instances where it could be brought up, but that would be like if you were applying for a position in the secret service or a similar high security area.

The offense will be recorded but you can request for its expungement after a long period of time.
