I Know a couple who are Gay and they have adopted a child. The Child is very much Loved and there is No Abuse, unlike in so many Homes today. I would rather see a child being brought up in a Stable happy home with a Gay Couple, than one with a Mother and Father that are both Alcoholics and Substance Abusers, and Beat their children for the fun of it.

NH banned homosexuals from adopting children. We since have struck that law down, and it no longer exists. And neither should Homophobia! Springfield College, MA (Home of Basketball) offers a great course on Homophobia if you think you can handle it!

My views, and I investigated child abuse for 16 years, is that it doesn't rub off! Gay's are not pedophiles by definition and all the work that A. Nicholas Groth did on sexual offenders bears that out! They don't bite either!

I took the course!

Groths Conclusion in 1978 was:

One of the most frustrating aspects of the struggle for equal rights for gay and lesbian Americans is the strength of enduring untruths, particularly those knowingly perpetuated by our opponents.

And perhaps the most maddening of these falsehoods suggests that gay men present a special danger to children.

Conservative Christian organizations shamelessly promote this deception. The Family Research Council's website offers the 31-page report "Homosexual Activists Work to Normalize Sex With Boys."[1] Until recently, the American Family Association's site presented "Homosexuality and Child Molestation: The Link, the Likelihood, the Lasting Effects."[2]

Still not quite sure that gay men molest kids? Contact Focus on the Family and purchase "Setting the Record Straight," which alleges that a child molester is 17 times more likely to be gay than straight.[3]

The moral lawlessness of repeating this untruth is all the more egregious because its falsity has been known for over 20 years.

In 1978 psychologist Nicholas Groth screened 175 men who had been convicted in Massachusetts of sexual molestation of children and referred by a court for psychological evaluation. He found not a single gay man in this sample. Every one of the perpetrators was either an exclusive heterosexual, a bisexual with a predominantly heterosexual orientation, or a fixated pedophile with no sexual interest in adults.[4]

His conclusion? That "the adult heterosexual male constitutes a greater risk to the underage child than does the adult homosexual male."

Wow, maximum of you're completely lacking the factor. The question replaced into asked to easily see what others think of roughly it. She's no longer attacking or helping gay marriage, she's purely featuring a sparkling technical impediment. besides, it is an extremely, very interesting factor. I had not at all theory approximately it that way earlier. in terms of marriage, confident, gays have equivalent rights. yet all and sundry's popularity of those "equivalent" rights imposed on gays has forgotten between the main prolific words in American historic past. If we deny gays the main appropriate to marry, we are denying them the ---pursuit of happiness--- that straights have. might that is too lots of a protracted shot to declare that denying gays the main appropriate to marry is largely anti-American? i do no longer think of so.

I think that it's none of the government's business.

Decades of studies have showed no difference in how the children turn out based solely on gender or sexual orientation. But there is a consistent difference that two parents are better than one, even if those two parents are of the same gender.

I know gays that would be great parents and some who would not. I think adoption is a most admirable thing.

I have friends with gay parents, and they came out just as normal as can be...almost better adjusted than most. That may be hard for some to swallow, but most people who hate gay people don't really know any...they only know the caricature of them.

What you are describing are not "homosexual rights" at all, but simple "human rights" that have been denied to homosexuals for far too long.

Homosexuals are not asking for special treatment, just equal treatment.
