Holy Cow, would be easier to give you list of new releases to avoid, like "Flushed Away"...only redeeming points would be the singing sewer slugs....need I say more?

Any "Mind of Mencia"', "South Park" or "Disaster (makes fun via claymation for disaster films) for comedy would be bettter. "Grandma's Boy...one of the worst, sick, movie I have ever seen next to "Clerks 2" and I am even a Kevin Smith fan prior to his last work. Funnier would be watching the Clerks cartoon episodes on DVD...they are funny!

"Children of Men"....two thumbs down....a rehashed wanna be futuritic view of a couple that is not allowed or reproduce and their attempts at bucking the goverment. A better, almost recent movie with Clive Owen is "Inside Man"...now that is a movie worth watching!

Grudge 3; scary, but you will hate the ending and curse the writers. Suspense/Horror would be "Fear of The Dark"...not a commercially popular film and seemed schlocky to start out with, but after watching it was as scary, if not more so, than the Sixth Sense and I, as an adult with a teen, can still get creeped out by seeing possible "monsters" in the closet.

"The Departed" , "Babel", "Stranger Than Fiction" and Children of Men"...if you are over the age of 18 and can handle complicated plots (my 13 year old was bored early into the movie and played with his Hotwheels instead about 20 mins into the movies.)

The Covenant is not even in the running with the others (the lead was hot as an actor as Warren Peace in "Sky High" but loses his appeal in this offering)...if you refer to another male witch as a "weotch" and not a warlock, tells you the caliber of the movie you are watching.

If you want a love story that has a little comedy go with "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law. If you like the feel good based on a true story go with Pursuit of Happyness. I have seen both and they are both great. If you like suspense and who done what go with "The Departed" Hope you enjoy whatever you watch..
