What's the locomotion of:

1. Earthworms move by using the circular muscles to squeeze the head end out forward, followed by contracting the longitudinal muscles to pull the tail end up and shorten the body. This only works because earthworms have bristles called setae underneath them to provide traction.

2. An octopus can scramble around on its tentacles. An octopus also takes in water and squirts it out through a siphon -- jet propulsion.

3. A sea star moves on its many, many tube feet of its water vascular system.

4. A spider walks or climbs with its 8 legs. The muscles are attached to the spider's exoskeleton to move the legs.
