That I'm mixed Korean, Chinese on my mother's side, and Japanese on my father's side? But, I wasn't allowed to know it for some strange reason?

Do you think it's true? Because my dad surreptitiously confirmed it. And...what should I do now?

It make no different if you are a full Korean or a mix Korean, Chinese or Japanese you are a North East Asian.

It’s possibly what happen in World War 2 when Japan attack China and now some Chinese people want avenges against Japan, but you know the Chinese and Japanese have the same ancestry backgrounds. China should forgive what Japan did in World War 2 and one more thing with China there is a strong hate between the Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalist Party) and Communist Party. So you see why your parents were trying to protect you.

What you must not do is to study the political system of China, it only will cause you pain. Just remember that we Chinese, Japanese and Korean are the same, we are all North East Asians. It’s just that time has separated us.

Embrace your Chinese and Japanese heritage.

I believe you. Possibly you were not told because of the ancient enimity between China and Japan. What you do now is to be proud of where you came from and work to make yourself proud of who you are.

Not one thing, YOU are you, there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe there WAS a political problem, that is the only thing I can think of. Maybe your father was protecting you.
