I wish I could have a bikini wax or even a brazilian wax, but no one around where I live offers it. My b/f says, "just shave it", but I know it'll take no time at all for it get all cactis like or red bumps. From what I've read, at-home waxing is a bad idea....is Nad a good alternative? or a type of Nair that doesn't leave you inflammed? Any suggestions that will leave me smooth for a day or two, since getting a professional to give me a wax isn't an option?

i've tried home waxing and it doesn't work very well. and Nair is evil! It will burn you! So I just shave. Use extrememly moisturizing shaving cream, razor with at least 3 blades. And then I loveee Bikini Zone for after...it stops redness and bumps. I know it takes more up keep but it's better than trying Nads. Or just look up waxing in the closest big city since you don't have any around you

Honestly, I think that using any hair-burning chemicals on your body, let alone around your cho-cha, is a HORRIBLE idea!

Just shave! Get a good razor, like a Venus, and some good shaving cream (I like Aveeno, the kind with oatmeal) and it will be fine. You'll have to shave every few days to keep it totally smooth, or once a week if you don't care about stubble, but it's cheap and easy so it's not a huge deal. You'll be glad you did.

Add: There are also lotions that you can get to put on your bikini area after you shave to prevent bumps. Check them out at the drug store.

You can shave it all off without any problems if you use an electric shaver. A razor can cause your skin to break out, and you can get a lot of ingrown hairs by using a razor. But, there are women's electric shavers you can buy to shave that area. Itching is not really that much of a problem. The most common problem is that your skin might start to burn after you shave. That's because the skin is so sensitive. It's not used to being shaved. You have to use plenty of lotion to prevent your skin from burning. Maybe you could go to the store and get some Bikini Zone cream. I did read about one girl in Yahoo Answers. Her boyfriend persuaded her to shave it all off with a razor while she was in the shower. Her skin got infected and she was in a lot of pain. Use an electric shaver down there. Don't use a razor.

WAXING even on thin hair hair like those on your arms is painful and uncomfortable.
using it on areas like underarms and bikani area is
extremely painful.
very very painful.
the hair have very strong roots. when they are pulled
they not only pain but can even bleed. the bleeding points can become infected and give boils.
shaving is the best.
shave it and massage some antiseptic onintment you wont get any bumps.
but you have to be regular with it.
next is hair removal cream. btu you may allergic to it.
so first do a patch test . then proceed.
YUP I like TRIMMING TOO.
actually its the best when u r not really going to wear a bikani.
but if u wear a bikani then shaving.

get a good set of beard trimmers. take it down so it's shortest the trimmers will go. next, with a good razor, just shave the top or maybe the sides to see how your skin reacts. shave with the grain and apply bikini zone or someother liticane cream after yuo shave. if you skin reacts well, you'll know it's alright to shave more and more.
