What are the bits that you attach to a wheel nut remover/spanner called?

They all vary in size depending on wheel nut size but all fit the same square connector on the spanners that you use to remove wheel nuts, Just want to know what they are called. Thanks.

are you talking about an alan wrench (spelling?) or a torque wrench / adapter or a tire iron?
