I'm really interested in science, but i'm not sure what i want to do, or even what i want to study at uni.

I'm in year 12, so ill be finishing school this year. My subjects are Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Extension 1 math (3 unit), and advanced english.

I was thinking maybe engineering (civil, mainly), but now i'm leaning towards biochemistry and DNA and stuff.

Any ideas would be great.

Hey sumtimes primary/secondary school subjects doesn't answer what will you will be or what you want on college... With your good grades on a certain subject sumtimes it emplies that you like that subject or you like your proffesor... I think its much better if what do you want to be in a future,,,Then work it out... In the slight beggining, think that it will not work out... Try another... Trice of tries will end up of sumthin... Sumtimes its a waste of time but it work fittings oneself to anything before deciding... Got it!

You will be much more comfortable as a biochemist, or as a Chemical or Electrical Engineer than you would be as a Civil Engineer (assuming you are female).

Say what you want about equality of the sexes, females have a very rough road to travel in either Mechanical or in Civil/Structural engineering.

I have seen gals leave both fields and switch to other interests.

There's lots of jobs in FOOD SCIENCE these days. Chemistry and Biology are playing a big part in the new professional kitchen.

The moneys good,
There are tons of labs working just on food,
You can see your work be used in the field,

There's a lot of FOOD SHOWS coming up around the country where everyone shows off all the new products, formulas, and gadgets out for the new year. We are always looking for the next big thing from the labs. The next one is in Chicago. Check it out on line
