Dimensional Analysis is pretty simple but not taught in one page of info but You start with the simplest number and convert. you always put the number or amount of the substance you want to convert from on the bottom and the number you are wanting on the top. you divide by the number on the bottom of that ratio and multiply by the number on the top (you will not always have a number on top and bottom)

To simplify the way to convert i am going to describe something as the mole road map.

The mole is always what you want to go to because you can go anywhere with the mol. the from the mol you can either go to mass witch you use the periodic table to find mass of the chemical. Then to find Volume you use the conversion of 22.4 L to go from mol to L. then to go to subatomic particles you use Avogadro's number witch is 6.02x10^23.

Now all of this is to convert from a amount of a substance to the amount of that substance in either Subatomic particles, mass, or Volume.

You can also just use it just to go for example form g to Kg.

Example:
find how many kg are in 13g Sub2
13gO2X(1000Kg/1g)=13000kg

This probably did nothing but confuse you but Dimensional Analysis cannot be taught in just one day. Especially in those general terms. i did the best i can . Good Luck

That seems pretty broad. How about an example we can work through for you?
