37 foot! any idea how much I would have to pay to take my yacht through. West to east.

The prices are going up. The Canal Authority makes very little money from yacht transits. They make yachts wait, sometimes for weeks until there are enough boats to justify using the locks for yacht passage if there are no ships ready to make the transit. I was always under the impression "yacht" classification begins at 40 foot? A 37 foot vessel is classified a "cabin crusier"! Correct me if I'm wrong !

In 2004 it was a $600 transit fee plus $850 buffer fee to cover additional charges. I'm sure the prices have gone up since then.
