Hi AMBER A.
Yes, acupuncture may help.
Several studies have also shown how acupuncture has helped patients with osteoarthritis, post-chemotherapy nausea and even depression. Despite all the apparent positive feedback, those considering acupuncture should still consult regular doctors and health-care professionals for advice on their conditions first. If they decide to pursue the treatment, they must make sure that the acupuncturist or practitioner they see is highly-qualified and certified by organizations such as the American Academy of Medical Acupuncturists. Please look article: http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Alternative_Medicine_-_What_Happens_During_Acupuncture_Treatment/
Headaches or migraines can have different reasons. Some natural treatments work therefore better for certain headaches than others. Assuming that your headache is not the result of a disease then you have either tension-type headaches or vascular headaches.
Tension-type headaches are simply caused by overstraining of muscles. That can be strain of the eyes, face, teeth or muscles in the neck for instance. Relaxation and massage of these muscles can bring immediate relief. Please look article: http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Natural_Headache_Relief/

Mine are helped by being in a dark room with no noise or some really soft music. A cold washcloth over the eyes helps me too... Taking a combo of Tylenol and Aspirin and a little caffeine also helps (Excedrin has this down pretty well, or take about 1/4 of a no-doze (about 50mg of caffeine) with 2 regular tyl and asp).
Make sure your other meds don't already have Tylenol (acetaminophen) in them as you should never take more than 4000mg of acet in 24 hors due to risk of liver damage.

If the meds don't help then don't wait call the doc and get in sooner. If you have frequent migraines ask your neurologist about trying preventative meds. Call tomorrow and get seen soon.

Hmmm.. migraines, let`s see. When migraines attack you, try to isolate yourself to a quiet, dimly lit space. If possible try to get some shut eye. When you wake up...... voila.. the pain is all gone, and you can start fresh.

I see a chiropractor for my migranes. Sometimes your insurance will cover it - esp if you were diagnosid w/ sever migranes. For now- take a warm bath, use 1 candel (the less light the better) & try to get to bed early!

With Migraines it is often trial and error. Read up on migraines and you can adopt a diet that may help you cope.
