Go to the MS Vista web site and use the compatability check tool. Go to the cam manufacturers web site and download the latest drivers for it if you need to.

Go to the manufacturer website for an update (if available)
If not return the cam where you bought it & get one that says "Vista ready".

you need a vista driver for your cam and i am100% sure you are not going to get it before 6 months.
