Certainly not if nothing is at stake for anyone else. Think of it this way: it seems that the "moral point of view" is a point of view where everyone matters equally, everyone is treated as having equal value. The moral point of view IS NOT that everyone is of greater importance than me. So just as it is sometimes morally permissible to act only for someone else, it is equally sometimes morally permissible to act only for oneself.

Everyone needs some quiet time and solitude just to recoup from the day in day out turmoil. Doing something positive for yourself is the best way to regain your identity and preserve the innermost part of yourself. Protecting this innermost core is a positive thing as it will clarify thought and allow you to take positive action in the circumstance that is posing a problem. Do not allow yourself to be bullied or denigrated to salve another's ego. Best wishes

Why would it be wrong? Each one of us is here for only a short period of time, we are like a flower which blooms and soon a wind comes and blows it away without anyone knowing that it was there. Do something good for yourself and leave the guilt behind

Actually...in a way....we do EVERYTHING we do entirely for ourselves! For example, we answer these questions because it makes us feel better to think we have helped someone. We wouldn't bother if it didn't make us feel good..., but hat's another story!Self care is probably the most important thing you can do!! If you are mentally, emotionally a wreck, you're not much good to anyone.

no this is quite common (like parents who just need to go out and have some time away from their kids once in a while.)
As long as what you are doing is not going to effect your situation negatively. (example don't take a break away from your husband to make the heart grow fonder and straighten things out if you are going to be hanging out somwehere with a lot of guys and places to party.)

No it is not wrong to have a little "ME" time. To be able to get away from the everyday routine and just do what you want not what you need to do.. it is called having a life! so go out and have a me day and have fun!

It's perfectly alright to do something entirely for yourself. Do you not want to be entirely alone while doing this? I am not sure exactly where to recommend to go to persevere and advance, and gain from this, there are places and people to help you achieve exactly this. Try to reward yourself for getting this far. Good luck.

there is nothing wrong with doing something for oneself, as long as you don't hurt, misuse, abuse or deceive anyone along the way. you have to be able to make yourself happy and feel fulfilled in yourself before you will be able to make someone else happy or fulfill someone else!
