we have a wireless router (Westell VersaLink, Model 327W)... will that work?
or do we need a different type?
thanks!

It won't work because the 327W is a DSL router. You'll need a cable modem and a wireless ethernet router.

1) Buy a wireless ethernet router
2) Connect the wireless router to the cable modem
3) Install a wireless adapter on each computer
4) If properly configured, the computers should be able to communicate with the wireless router, thus having a wireless network.
