It seems like I'm bringing out the worst. I don't understand what kind of vibes I'm sending out. I am kind, generous both with my time and money, nurturing, positive. But when I ask one of them to give me a hand with something, anything, they say, yes, sure, but they can't do it right now, and it never gets done. For example. I was unloading mulch today. My son said, ". . . where you getting your mulch now-a-days." I told him, and he walked in the house and that was that. I didn't ask him for help this time because I knew if I asked it would be the same BS and I would get upset. But I just couldn't believe it. It was 4 in the afternoon and he doesn't have any ailments or anything. He's been living with me for free since last July while he's going through a divorce.

He's no longer the son I raised.

You bring out the best with the look of love. It's not always recognized but it is remembered . I was 40 before I knew what it was. I was blessed to see it many times in my youth.

Patience , tongue biting and a low key voice are a big help. Little notes and respect for your spouses opinion will always bring out the best.

To answer your question, not yet but I'm working on it.

I think a little bit of both. We've been married for 15 years and we've seen the good...the bad..and the ugly!!

He is deployed right now (for 18 months) to Iraq..so now I would have to say we bring out the best. The worst usually comes out when we argue.

Actually, a little bit of both. There are some habits she's learned from me that aren't as edifying as others. But, on the flipside, she's better at some things than she was when we first married.

She definitely brought the best out in me. She's the best!

We complement each other. He makes up for my shortcomings and I make up for his. He also brings out the best in me and I'd like to believe that I do the same for him.
