That's a tough one as there are many parameters to consider. According to astrophysicists, the sun should still be around, but perhaps a bit cooler as a smaller proportion of hydrogen will be present. However, a drastic change in the atmosphere might counteract that, so I would definitely recommend an all-weather outfit, given that you could be on either side of an ice age.
Concerning what kind of civilisation that might exist, perhaps humanity will have died out due to some massive war of pestilence or perhaps sheer boredom. The question becomes with there be a successor species to re-create society? Given that two billion years is a long time for evolution to produce new species, we could be talking about modern-day dung beetles being the progenitors of a race of nine-headed super geniuses. In that case, some insecticide for defence might be useful.
Of course, continental drift will completely scramble the current configuration of land masses. The Rocky Mountains and the Himalayas will likely be reduced to molehills, but other mountain ranges will result due to colliding plate tectonics. Bring some hiking shoes and climbing gear.
"Fixed" stars will be meaningless given that the galaxy will have spun ten times by this point, so forget any star charts. A compass might be useful, but who knows where the magnetic north pole will be. Also, given increased entropy in the Universe, I'd suggest holding off on useful work until it's really needed.
