You know, that's a pretty cool question. Personally, I think I'm actually better in adversity. I think that's because at least I have a purpose or goal I'm trying to acheive, whereas when I'm doing okay I have time to look around and see how pointless the acquisition of stuff is (considering that's all that drives Western society, sadly). Then again, it'd be nice to do well for long enough to go on some altruistic crusade. :)

I enjoyed my short lived prosperity much better than my long lived adversity. But, I am a better person for my difficult experiences.

I do well on both accounts but I am real suave during adversity. I can make or take a joke in the middle of adversity. (That is what someone told me about me...)

Adversity.
I love a challenge... Prosperity would be difficult because then I wouldn't have as many challenges to overcome... wait a minute... that means prosperity would be a bigger challenge for me... thought I wouldn't think of that didn't I? But I showed me...
Show me the money!
Peace
