This is really excellent question which should be taken up by the central health ministry. Why don’t you write to Dr. Ramados the capable health minister to consider this issue & bring in legislature not only controlling the charges levied on various services provided by the private hospitals & nursing homes in India & also displaying these charges on the reception of these hospitals & nursing home. I hope sense will prevail on our beloved health minister & he will take this issue giving it more priority over the issue of removal of Dr. Venugopala as the Director of AIIMS.

Considering the cost of charges, vis a vis the equipments and facilities, medical research, lab, medical proficiency, nursing care, specialities, neatness, sterilisations, operation theatre etc. it is high time that, a quality control committee of doctors and philanthropists should be appointed to examine and rate the hospitals and grade them from single star to higher ones depending one their merits and provide fixed rates, which must be published by the hospital fittingly.

Your suggestion is timely and needs to be addressed.
