A couple years ago I read about a movie called "Awake" starring Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba. It's about a young man who has heart surgery and isn't given enough anesthesia. He is therefore "awake" and can feel everything but can't move or talk. I've checked imdb.com and lots of other sites. They used to say that it was already out, but now they say it comes out some time this year. Can anyone tell me when, if at all this movie is coming out?

I've checked rottentomatoes.com but they still say it was in theaters in 2006.

The movie is not due to be released until August or September. Check IMDB as they usually have all of this info. They are pretty good at updating regularly.

You have really got a question. I have been looking for hours to answer this question. There is no help at IMDb and if a movie is slated to come out, even if no one knows about it and it is a WEINSTEIN movie then the absolute best place to look is BLOCKBUSTER. The Weintstein's have given BLOCKBUSTER exclusive rights to all their movies. So, that means that you can only rent WEINSTEIN new flicks from them. When you go to BLOCKBUSTER's website they have nothing for Hayden under AWAKE. This could just mean that they have changed the name or theatrical release. BLOCKBUSTER will only have the street date for the DVD. But, if it is a WEINSTEIN flick then it will end up there. Contracts!

A preview screening was released September 2006, as you've already mentioned. But, it's not due to be released until August 2007.

The movie had test screenings in December, but no release date has been announced nor is it even listed on the Weinstein Company's web site.

imdb only says that it is scheduled to be release this year but no month or day are attached.
