How come women say they hate Hawaiian shirts?

Question

I'm not talking loud hawaiian shirts with a million crazy colors, but like a regular hawaiian type shirt with two colors or three colors tops (such as a light green shirt with light brown leaves or flowers).

How come women say they hate Hawaiian shirts but then when I go ahead and wear them, I get lots of positive attention from women, especially when celebrating friends birthdays at bars and clubs and stuff?

and by positive attention I don't mean pointing at me...lol, I mean that most want to talk to me and get to know me and some want me to take them home afterwards...

For me it often has to due the colours. I see these only three colour shirts but they are basically neon colours. Ugly and looks like you never got out of HS.
You may be wearing colours that look good on you. It's all in the style. Just you can see a gal in pretty shirt and skirt then she is wearing those huge Frankenstein boots. The whole is image is shot. Basically the same idea.

I wouldn't give the hawaiian shirts the credit for positive attention...But I won't tell you not to wear em'..cuz really you shouldn't be really truly conserned with what others think..Not ALL women think the same thing..So to one women ur shirt could be totally hot but to another you could look like you went to "I am so 2 years ago" planet and came back with ur shirt..Honostly..I don't like the hawaiian shirts because they are unfitted...kinda dorky and screem I need to go to the mall..lol..
but do what you want..And have fun with it..

because hawaiian shirts are so TACKY. they scream "tourist" and make the person wearing it appear as if they really couldnt find anything better to wear in their closet.
hawaiian shirts are not attractive on a man either. they don't show any physique. a better choice is a simple, tight fitting black shirt or just a nice button up shirt, with the top couple of buttons undone.

In the words of homer simpson, only two types of guys wear hawiian shirts: gay guys and big fat party animals.

im assuming you are attractive because it is the only thing that explains this behaviour..women see a hot guy and the shirt gives them an "in." they can say, hey great shirt or some such crap and easily start talking to you.

if you dont think your attractive, mayb they are intrigueed...what kind of guy would wear such a shirt in public adn so have to talk to you!!!

Hmmm, change your brand of women!!! Sounds like you're hanging with the wrong crowd!! And don't mind what others say, it's a waste of time and energy! Be happy and wear what YOU want!!! BE YOURSELF!!

to be honest i don`t know, i`m sorry but i think hawaiian shirts are ugly as s**t whether they have 2 colors or 200 colors, i wouldn`t give a 2nd look to a guy wearing one, i can tell u that!!!

I think it's in personal preference. This is kind of a hard question to answer as I cannot speak for the rest of the general public. However, I do not personally find them offensive.
