I have a shark cat. I have 2 talking cats. I have a albino cory (getting more, and I have a cat fish I don't kn ow what it is called . I also have 2 neon tetras.

You need to be more specific, there are thousands of types of fish each with their own methods of laying, fertilizing and hatching young.

What type of fish is it you are asking about?

first of all you need to know if its a female and a male. You really have to wait till it matures to about the size of your hand(fingertips to top of wrist). My fishes just had some eggs and it took a while to hatch, maybe about 3-4 days. Most important, make sure you move the eggs to a different tank so that the parents and other fishes dont eat them. Trust me, its not like Finding Nemo where the parents look at the fish eggs and see how adorable they are as eggs. It also depends on what fish you have.

Lol for sure different fish different breeding methods convicts don't have to be the size of your hand and on average they have 200 babies. Mouthbrooders scoop thier eggs up and hold till hatch and even behold. so it just depends research your type.
