You can go into details, but one is if you work for a car company, you show a graph to your boss of your sales/profits. first thing to pop into my head.

Do you have a hobby or something you are interested in? Think about those things in terms of graphs. I am not sure of your grade so here are a few examples.
Get a bag of M&Ms or skittles and graph the colors. Go to a website about how many cars were sold in the US last year. Graph them based on brand or cost. You can graph how gas prices have changed over the past year. You can graph how many people voted in the U S presidential election.

When I was in the Navy and practicing medicine, I/we used graphs on a regular basis to plot and demonstrate the number and quality of patients being treated. It was very useful in knowing what supplies to order in the E.R. treatment room, the O.R., lab, x-ray and pharmacy. It was also how we demonstrated to the folks in Washington our justification for more physicians and tech.s.
Now I'm retired, and my wife and I own a small business. We track the number of clients (both return and new or one time use). We track yearly, our busy days, weeks and months from one year to the next so we can plan our schedules accordingly. It'd be REALLY foolish of us to close shop for a holiday during a peak season. It's how we track our performance and finances.
Prior to retirement, I also worked as a stat.s keeper for several race teams in (what was then Winston Cup's) NASCAR. Graphing out a car and team's performance on the track and in the pits, shows visually, a record of how eveyone was doing. If the tire changer was repeatedly slower than either the jack man or the fuel man, we needed to know this. Graphs are wonderful way of isolating and showing specific moments in time.

I just looked at a graph, on my account, to see if I am sucessfully using less electricity than last year.
Same on gas bill, water bill etc. Any accounts can be graphed to find out how to save money.
Environmentalists really discovered 'Global warming' by graphing temperature changes and rain fall changes.
Looking at my electricity consumption graph is one of my ways of helping with 'Global warming'. We can all do this.
Graph how full your re-cycle bin is.
Graph temperature in your house is if curtains left open or shut.
Graph how much fuel the family car uses. Compare with holiday fuel use. Try experiments where people walk to places, does this reduce fuel consumption or does one person in family use most of fuel.
Health - graph each family members fruit consumption. (or sweet, or carbohydrate, or protein consumptions are)
If you play sports graph increase in goals, hits etc in your sport as you practise more or less.
You have a graph in your Yahoo answers, use that.

Penny stocks are loosely categorized companies with share prices of below $5 and with market caps of under $200 million. They are sometimes referred to as "the slot machines of the equity market" because of the money involved. There may be a good place for penny stocks in the portfolio of an experienced, advanced investor, however, if you follow this guide you will learn the most efficient strategies https://tr.im/ed075

Weather Reporters use them to show changes in temperature over time. They are used to show changes in population to monitor that. The stock market uses them. They can show increase in profits. Talk about how they could help you better show the uses of your time. And of course- to teach students how to interpret graphs in math class. Good Luck on your paper!

the media uses graphs to mislead us by twisting axis, uneven scales and using 3d graphs to show 2D of data.

Binary trading is notoriously risky but if you follow a special method I've learned you can earn good money at almost no risk. This is the site I use: ( http://forexsignal.kyma.info ) I definitely recommend subscribing to this site in particular. I was a bit weary of binary trading from all the bad hype they receive but this site is pretty legit. This course explain everything you need to start a very profitable trading activity. Remember never invest 100% of your capital into any one security and never have 100% of your capital invested and a good understanding of the rules
