sure why not??? i mean there are goths with problems & goths without problems, just like every other type of people right??? u have preps with & without problems, hippies with & without problems...goths are no different, people just assume they have some disturbance or whatever because they tend to wear the dark clothing & because of the music they listen to...i have many goth friends & they are the same as anyone else, it`s just the lifestyle they choose to lead, they are not psycopaths or anything...they are just normal people living their lives & enjoying the things they like...

No. Because then you could say someone has issues if they like the Grunge style, or the Boho style, or the Preppy style, or the Punk style, or the Emo style, or the Victorian style.
If you think there's something wrong with somebody if they like the Gothic style...then YOU are the one with the problem. Widen out in the fashion world, my dear. And you can read about Victorian and Old Century Gothic styles in your History book...
To TiffanyLynn...What's wrong with the Gothic religion? Do you even know what it is, or are you just an Atheist against all religion but really in one yourself? If you supposedly have Gothic friends then you wouldn't have a problem with their religion and you wouldn't tell someone to be warry of it, because then why are you friends with the people you are friends with? Unless they're not real Goth's.
KinderGoth is a fad. Goth is not. Goth has been around for a very long time. KinderGoth is the Goth that a lot of young people dress as, with all the black, baggy pants, bondage straps, etc and as they get older grow out of it, thus making it portrayed as a fad. A true Goth is not a person under the control of some fad.

Is there such a thing as "normal"? To each their own. Most goths are well adjusted people. Being goth has nothing to do with what clothes you wear or music you listen to, it is a way of thinking and seeing the world. The clothes that goths wear and the music that goths listen to is just a reflection of that mindset. Goths see that there is extreme pain and evil in the world, along with the good. Instead of condemning it or ignoring it, goths accept these things as a part of life and try and enjoy the good along with the bad, since they can't stop the bad from happening. They are not obsessed with death, they just accept it as an inevitability. They do not try and cause more pain in their (or anybody else's) lives, since there is plenty to start with. Goths tend to be kind, intelligent, non-violent, emotional, and artistic.

Um yeaaahhh its ok. Where do you live? Gothic/emo/scene/ is the like the newest trend everyone dresses scene now, which is a style originating from goth, only not quite as severe. Brightly coloured make up. Piercing. Bows in their hair. Leggings and ballet flats with a jean skirt...it all originates from the goth style.

I don't have a problem and no one else should. Because being gothic is just what someone wants and if it makes them happy then thats all that should matter

You are young and still don't know what you want to do with your life. Gothic is a fade. As you grow older you become what you really are or what you were meant to be. Experiment with yourself as long as it does not hurt you or anyone else. To thine own self be true. Being different does not mean being the same as others.

Depends. If you think it's different and you like that, it's not a problem. If you're obsessed or take it extremes, it's not normal.

I think you should just like what YOU like. Don't base your opinions of "okay" on other people's views. If you like it, go for it, but if not, that's fine too. There's nothing wrong with expressing yourself.
