After a migraine attack please be carefull.
If you feel you ccannot sleep, at least ry to lay down and rest
if you have to go to work at 7.00
problem is when you already slept alot, migraine can come back when you rest too much.
or migraine can occur when you have rested too few hours.
please listen to your body. cuz migraines arent fun.
*heavy migraine sufferer.
btw do not drink milk to try and go to sleep
might work like a charm, or you could also regret it.
My migraines are gone, now I know whast caused it (triggers) and take sufficient hours of rest.

I have had this happen to me when I have suffered with a migraine.
Some migraine meds have caffeine in them, and that may be causing the problem.
You can try drinking a cup of warm milk, or some herbal tea, that may help you to relax and settle down to sleep.
I keep some melatonin in the house, which is a natural herbal sleep aid, and that will help. It actually balances your body chemistry so that you can relax.
Good luck and have a good night.

does this happen every night? is so ask your doctor to send you to a sleep clinic. You could have sleep apnea. that is when your throat closes up when you fall asleep and you stop breathing. I know this from experience I went through years of not sleeping and have been on a CPAP machine for 7 years. it is a machine that purifies the air in the room and sends it back through a 6' tube and into the nose gear I wear which forces me
to breath through the nose and not the month. I sware by it.
My not sleeping at night now is due to arthritis pain.

Sometimes this happens
Do a quiet activity, have a bit of hot chocolate (warm milk aids sleep). Don't drink alcohol.
Did you take a migraine medicine containing caffeine???? If so, that would be the reason.

I'm the same. It's 2.50. I'm really tired and I've got the flu. But every time I lie down and I start coughing my guts up. Not nice!
I've even had a sleeping pill, but it's not working.
Guess I'll just stay on Answers and wait till I pass out on the sofa sitting up (I don't cough when I'm sitting up!)
You have my sympathies.

You might be awake because of stress or if you are worrying about something. Try drinking a cup of herbal tea and then going back to bed.
