tanning is real bad for you and your skin, leads to skin cancer so if you are thinking about tanning yourself don't if you know what is best for you, and be proud of what you look like now, because if you don't your going to regret it later!

yes it`s true that tanning leads to possible premature aging of the skin & cancer, but i have been tanning for many years & even knowing the risks i have yet to give it up because i do enjoy it...i started out as a young teen tanning outside, now i mostly do the tanning bed with the occasional day laying out around the pool or at the beach...i like being tan all year round and do the tanning bed every day...i am not stupid, i know the risks involved but it is my choice...i do follow a very strict skin-care regimen & have done since i was a teenager, and many people when seeing me guess my age to be 15 years younger than i actually am...i also do self-exam for abnormal moles, skin lesions, etc. periodically, as well as have a thorough doctor`s exam for the same every 2 or 3 months...i`m not saying u should or shouldn`t tan, it is an individual decision & one u should think about carefully...

Traditional tanning is not very healthy for your skin. Concentrated UV light is proven to increase the risk of skin cancer. Other types of tanning could be better, such as a good spray tan. Be careful though, know what you're getting, because you wouldn't want to look fake. I really like lotions with self tanner in them, they seem to be a great alternative to wrinkles and possibly even cancer!

aside from the proven health risks i think tanning is fine in moderation
if you have an event coming up where you would like to be a little tanner i see no problem with tanning
i only have a problem with it if you become addicted..and go every day or every other day for a seriously long time
i always want to tell these people how bad they and their skin look
