Seriously.... Last year some of my friends at school claimed to have these "special" powers, like they are able to predicate something before it happens. yeah right. however this year I have noticed that one of my firends always knows whats going to happen before it actually happens.....its like she has alot...ALOT of deja vu. its kinda of starting to freak me out. she also says that anyone can become a wicca or witch, if they really believe or chose to become one.
So know I'm wondering if there are ways a person could tell if they have powers or are a witch?
like weird signals...

Hi there,

This is a question I get asked a lot.

I am going to include a copy and paste from my blog about the 'how can I tell if I was born a witch?' subject - as that relates also to your question.

Before that I also want to address a couple of other elements :-)

First of all Wiccan and Witchcraft are two different things.

You can be Wiccan and not practice witchcraft or call yourself a witch.

You can be a Witch and practice witchcraft and not call be Wiccan.

Some derivative of witchcraft is found in most cultures & religions - modern and ancient.

Thing Shamans, medicine doctors, witches etc

As your friend says anyone can practice witchcraft and anyone can choose to follow the wiccan religion (remember they are two separate yet complementary things).

We all in fact have 'special powers' already - some people's are more developed than others (for a variety of reasons - some include conscious actions/choices, others may be an unconscious openness to it).

I think it also worth clarifying.

Witchcraft primarily focuses on conscious creation - creating outcomes that you desire (that do not contravene the free will of another).

Clairvoyance and 'seeing' is something different (and complementary) to witchcraft.

Witches generally do not predict what will happen, instead they consciously create outcomes working with the energies of the universe.

And remember we do all have the ability to intuite what may eventuate - just some of us have that sense more finely attuned than others.

OK that will do for now :-)

I'll now copy and paste the portion from my blog post:

Do You Think You Were Born A Witch?

I often get emails from people claiming that they are a second, third, fourth generation witch.

As if they were born as a witch

And conversely I have other people emailing me saying they don't think they have the 'special powers' of a witch as they weren't born a witch.

I want to dispell that myth now.

NO-ONE is "born" a witch.

ANYONE can successfully practice Witchcraft.

Now I do not wish to give offence to those who do have generations of witches in their families.

I'd suggest that the more applicable way to describe it is that you were born open to strengthening your gifts of conscious creation because members of your family have been doing it from generation to generation.

You see we ALL have natural gifts for conscious creation.

EVERY single one of us.

What differs between person to person is:

a) the degree of receptivity to the concept that we can consciously create for ourselves (aka practice magick)

b) the amount of practice and experience we have doing that.

So if you are reading this and you are someone who is wondering "Do I have 'the gift' for witchcraft?"

Yes you do!

You ALL do.

And whilst you might not have come from a family or community environment that is open to such concepts or practices - there is nothing to stop you from opening yourself up to it and seeing how magick can work for you in your life.

Well in fact there might be ONE thing that could stop you...yourself ;-)

Take it from a person who can read auras, sense energy, has precognition dreams and remembers being born, dying and being revived. Don't opened doors you may want to close some day.
Obviously your friend has some type of ability. We as a society group lots of extra sensory abilities as a vague sixth sense. It's much more than that. Now just because someone has a power, an ability or several special talents DOESN'T mean that they are a witch. Some with abilities is just someone who has dejavu or can see auras. They are not normally called a witch. A witch is someone who practices Wicca, witta or some other religion of the kind. EARTH based religion and a positive one. Now a person who has a special talent may feel drawn to another religion and there are many of them. But it's kind of like slipping into a favorite shirt. It's comfortable and feels right.
For learning to open your own gifts if you have them? Well there are some books that say they can teach you to be psychic but I don't believe them. I tried one for being able to move objects but that's not one of my abilities.
Look I know it seems that I don't like what I have. I am glad I have the abilities but I wish I could prove i have them. To the people close to me they believe but most people don't. Any way if you want to talk to me though YIM you can.
Good Luck!

Being a witch or whatever is not a requirement in order for you to use your "abilities" Everyone has the ability but only YOU can choose to use it. Religion has nothing to do with it.
A good way to try working with your abilities is the game show "The Price is Right" practice guessing the prices BEFORE they are given. For the people out there who thinks it's evil to use this power think about this. The bible was written by man with unearthly access to information. Also in caves 11-13 where the dead sea scrolls where tarot cards and other tools were found. Adam and Eve ate the fruit of knowledge does that make ALL knowledge bad? It is worth looking into.

The one definite experiment of a witch is to stroll out within the rain together with her. Water (a creature of God) abhors a witch (that is the pondering in the back of ducking); so a real witch will keep dry within the rain, even if all people else is soaked to the dermis. This is correct just for a truly witch. Wiccans get rainy, the equal as every body else, that is how we all know that they're bogus. This experiment was once identified within the center a long time. But they inspiration drowning blameless females was once extra a laugh.

deja vu is the feeling of having been in a place or particular situation before.... then it happens just like deja vu. now when you speak on wicca or witch craft remember fooling with powers you have no experience in can be deadly. you will have to give up something. believe what you want but know what your doing.

Most people feel strange. and they do not really fit into the mold the world expects.

I was raised in a very devoit Baptist home, and the things my guardians was telling me about the world was not the world that I experienced on a day to day basis.

I was able to pass my hand over the wall, and I could feel where the electric wiring, and 2 by 4s were on the other side of the plaster. I was able do tell them who was calling before they could answer the phone with an 80 - 90% accuracy rate.

there are no real signs that anyone is a witch...she could just be psychic, or a really good guesser. there is such a religion as wicca or witchcraft, and yes, you can pick it up if you want to, but its not all about spells and spell casting and predicting things. yes, wiccans do cast spells, but it isnt the "poof your a toad" kind of stuff you see in movies. and often times it can have nothing to do with predicting the future. i suggest you (and your friend maybe) go to a library and get some books on wiccan. it has nothing to do with satanism or anything like that, and if people are using the spellcasting aspect of it for revenge they are in it for the wrong reasons.

Deja vu is something that all of us experience at some time or another, all of us have basic instincts and if we really work on them we can find our inner powers.

You'll know when the devil comes a Knockin' and "offers" you his price, but don't be "deceived" for he is a liar who is never "satisfied." The more you give the more he wants and in the end it will be you pay the price.........
