Wow, you have the Lynyrd Skynyrd band over at your house.

If you're living in an area with high humidity it could very well be mold inside the walls (as recently seen in New Orleans).

Another possibility is a wild animal - anything from a mouse up to a good-sized raccoon - that crawled into someplace and perished and is now decomposing. Is it any more obvious when the AC/furnace is running?

Either way, bad smell usually equals something unhealthy. I'd recommend that you call a professional to come check it out. Look in your yellow pages for a home inspector and negotiate with him/her. I'd think $50-100 would be a reasonable price if he didn't have to look too hard.

Hard to tell if this is a serious question. Sometimes the water trap in an unused sink or shower can dry out and let sewer gas escape. The remedy is as simple as just pouring some water down the drain.

We had a tomato go bad once, it was waaaay in the back of the fridge. Oh, and depending on your drainage around your house, in the spring or after a bad rain, it can smell up the entire place.

Do you have an area of damp carpet because that can STINK! Just have the window open for a bit each day to let it dry and burn lots of oils and spray lots of Febreze everywhere.

It could be mould in your walls. Check the basement. If so, you have to get it removed by a professional, because it's very dangerous and can cause serious health problems.

Have you checked your underwear lol. Sorry love, I couldn't resist, you left yourself wide open for that one. No offense, I'm sure you smell great.

Once a week (just for the heck of it, I'm not saying you need to, you may NEVER need to do this, okay?), I like to take out the garbage.
