Double standards? I'm not sure they have ANY standards left - they respond with ill-advised, knee-jerk reactions and then have to perform damage limitation. No one is convinced by them. We need a completely new start. I think Brown must go, too.

What double standard are you talking about? The invasion of Iraq was APPROVED by Parliament making it a legal act. The occupation of Iraq has never been criticized by the UN Security Council, Iran's actions have (just today). Putting international prisoners on TV, as Iran has done, and preventing an embassy from contacting their nationals, as Iran has also done, are both blatant violations of the Geneva Convention.

Amazingly enough you have no concept of what is illegal and what is not. The idea to send British troops was approved by your Parliament by a majority vote. LEGAL... The court set up to try and punish Saddam was set up by the new, freely elected Iraqi government, LEGAL...
So at what point has your PM committed a illegal act? Because he went against your wishes? When will you people, and I mean all over the globe, realize just because you don't like it that doesn't mean its illegal or even wrong?

Another Daily Mail reader spouts his nonsense; if the war was illegal then why have the UN not sanctioned us? How was it an illegal trial? I voted Labour. You are an idiot!

He isn't interested in right and wrong, only how appealing to the concepts can serve his interests. I didn't vote for anyone, incidentally.
