Yes, we have been put asunder and we now must mend our ways. shame on us....
Here is how I see this:
I have over 18,000 points and 6% best answers...ok? Well, I call that CONTRIBUTING...
A new account has 1700 points and 10% best answers and they get the TOP CONTRIBUTOR BADGE...
What is wrong with this picture? ????
POST SCRIPT...6% of 18,000 is nothing to sneeze at...I am disabled so I am on here a lot and my answers are not mostly fluff...Yahoo should have handled the matter with more decorum than what they did. They didn't think things out befoe they acted ...

Well yes but then again no, If you think about competitions the only people that are recognized are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners but that doesnt mean the person who came in 4th wasn't just as good, but becasue of tradition you usually just recognize the top three.

I think they socialize better on here than non top contributors - they are top contributors because more people give them best answers - so they must be better "tuned in."

Not always.They probably got where they were by posting useless answers and sitting at the computer all day.I don't know how some of them do it.I'm on the computer alot and only at level 2.

not all some are, most give pointless answers though just to get the quick points, and if you think it doesnt work your wrong, most people dont choose the best answers, they are voted, and these people often choose there own answer as best...even if it makes no sense or isnt related to the question...if they are the only ones that vote which happens alot as well, they get best answer
