I dont want to pay too much, because I'm a beginner, but either way I still want my 1st guitar to be worth my money and cool looking.

Most people start with a standard "Spanish" guitar, the light-colored wood, non-electric guitar. You can pick one up in a lot of local music stores. A phone call to several will give you a good idea of what a good cost is. After that, you can look in the classified ads for a used one.
Another place to look is fender.com, music123.com (for really good prices), gibson.com, and lots of other places online. Those companies make lots of really cool guitars. But they will be more expensive, which is why most people start with a plain, ole' guitar.

Musican friend.com allows you to search by price low to high. Or high to low.

Try going there. :)
