He'll probably retire before be dies like Bob Barker is doing and Pat Sajak will probably do also. I think as long as they can find the right person the show can continue going on.

I am quitte certain that the people that used to wath the roiginal version of the show back in the 60's and early 70's hosted by Art Flemming felt the same way when Alex Trebek started this new version. IF the show lasts that long it will probably be off for a few years, then start up agian with a new host.

Well, both Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy have been picked up through the 2011-2012 season... Jeopardy was on in the 70's with a different host and then it was cancelled and revived with Alex in the 80's... I don't see Alex dying in the next 4 years or so... I think they are going to talk abou thtat when the time comes...

See, I think you could stick an Anderson Cooper or maybe Phil Keogan from the Amazing Race, on Jeopardy and it wouldn't miss a beat. Keogan is a smart guy, and has the same type of personality as Trebek.

It's a cash cow, huge huge cash coming in for Merv Griffin, so no not cancelled. Maybe off the air for a respectable amount of time, say, 30 seconds, then back with a new host.
When Chuck Woollery died did they stop Wheel of Fortune? No they just crammed Pat Sajak down our throats and got a letter turner with big thingies, oh Vanna!!! Same here, maybe a large breasted blonde could stand over by the answer board or something to take our minds off Alex's passing.
What? Chuck Woollery didn't die? Are you sure?

They've already designed a computer-generated Alex Trebek so that when he dies, the show can continue for 100's of years.

They'll probably get a new host, and the show will continue for a season or two with declining viewership, then it will be canceled. Same for The Price is Right too. These shows are extremely personality driven. When the hosts die or leave, they'll ail along until eventually canceled for poor ratings.

People forget that Alex was not the first host of Jeopardy: Art Flemming was. So when Alex retires or dies they will replace him
