It seems to be loudest at about 30mph, and vanish when brakes are applied. It gets quieter on accel, but not gone. Any ideas?

One other thing... which doesnt eliminate the brakes, but if i bounce it, nothing. The drivers side will bounce, the passenger will not...although that could just be one really bad shock.

The caliper(s) seems loose enough to rattle...but I question it due to the amount of rattling and its on tight. Is there anything that can be done to at least quiet it down some? Any other ideas?

I would check to make sure the brake pads are not able to move around in the caliper. Some brake pads have small "ears" on the top edge that need to be bent over against the caliper so the pads don't move and rattle. There should be one ear on each end of the outside brake pad. Have a buddy push on the brake pedal and then use a hammer and a punch and lightly tap the ears down until they fit snuggly against the caliper.

Sounds very simple..... Brake pads , possibly rattling?

BUT the s-10 blazers (especially 4X4) are know to have ball joint problems

Just a guess,

#1. Check all pads and rotors. #2. Check for ripped open CV joint boots with grease sprayed every where in the particular half shaft. The Joint itself may be well on it's way to a final resting place.
