I always thought it was Green Bay. I'm a Packers fan and I dont know what it is if it's not Green Bay. I would like to know though. And to the first guy I live in AL and I care very much. I'm a huge Packers fan.

The Packers have utilized a few different 'official' logos over the years, but only one, the current trademark 'G' logo, ever made it to the helmet. The year was 1961, Vince Lombardi's third as head coach. The logo was designed by Packers equipment manager Dad Braisher.

I think I agree with steelfan, that it was George "Dad" Braisher's initial and just happened to be the same as Green Bay.

Who really cares outside of Wisconsin...I'm a Bears fan and I love and respect Brett Favre but I hate the Packers and Packersw aren't you the guy that made the comment about black quarterbacks not being pocket passers?
