I'm right next to the school I really want to go to but I'm not in the same school district as that school, why can't I go? I'm right next to it! That doesn't make any since and is there any loop hole where I can get into a school I'm not in the district for? If not then I really wanna know why I can't go!

You can go, you just need to pay the out of district tuition.

Don't worry - you're in. I don't know where you live, however the "No Child Left Behind Law" has been instituted for every school in the the United States. All your parents have to do is confront the school board (with dignity and professionalism). You can always claim hardship if you have to take a bus to the school they want you to attend. When you say 'right next' - I am 'assuming' you mean almost next door...The school I teach at is a 'magnet' middle school - designed to entice and encourage students who believe in the 'arts'. These students come from all over Nashville, but because it is a school of 'choice' - parents have to make their own way to get students to school. In other words, the school district is not obligated to provide a SCHOOL BUS for these kids - however they can ride the city bus. The thing we have learned is this - a student can live right next door - and because the oldheads drew the lines in such a way that the students who lived right next door might be considered "out of the zone", the school agreed that these students 'by default' would be able to attend. I don't think you have to worry - you should have your parents go to the board -discuss it - I bet you -they will agree......

well, all i can say is that they have the school districts so that 1 million people all don't go to one school. you could go to the county education adminastrator and give him/her a good reason to go to that school, but that's the only loophole
