They scream freedom of speech------in order to scream anti-American slurs-----so they are against the values of the thing that gives them the right to be against it!

I mean that they are paradoxical in nature.
If they want to change the constitution then how could they overthrow a dictator?

democrat-You wouldnt protect anything, you want all of the guns taken away and our troops to cut and run, you dont know what real protection is. Besides you got it backwards...you sound like a conservative to me.

I am not in any way advocating regulating speech and press. I should have anticipated you would jump the gun and ***-u-me so. I am only saying that just because you can doenst make it right. Its like the quote that goes something along the lines of "while I may disagree with you I would defend your right to the death to say it"

That is the way they get attention. They can't present anything to the people that would run on its own merits, so the feel the need to rant.

First of all don't compare the democrats with all of those on the left who dissent against an undemocratic regime. Anybody who has a mind and a conscience is incapable of holding harsh words from the persons who are supposed to be doing the will of the people. The right of free speech is the only thing that between a people that is peaceful and a people that is violent. Once you try to take that away, people will kill to have it back. The people do not need a paper to grant them that right, the fact that they are the majority does.
Without free speech, all we have is our fists and our guns. That is alright, but why use death when you can use your right to say whatever you want. I'm sorry if I was too harsh for you conservatives out there, but I used to think like you and I know you are wrong. I have to make myself clear that, you should always question everything. When you really learn about the world(what has happened and what direction we're headed for) you will see that no neo-liberal or conservative ideologies are relevant. I've probably wandered off the subject so I'll summarize this the best I can: don't try to take away my freedom to speak freely. no constitution or army grants me this, I grant me this.

IF you had enough sense to evaluate your silly statement, you'd realize how stupid and oxymoronic it is. But, I guess I'll have to laugh at you... and ignore you... you poor demented child! Anything that doesn't agree with your goose-stomping notions is anti-American...? HEY, if you would only get an education, you'd realize that PROOF of American freedom, liberty and freedom is allowing those YOU disagree with to have the same rights, freedoms and liberties you enjoy, booby; and, by the way, you have the right, freedom and liberty to be ignorant... but PLEASE don't abuse it so much, y'hear?

We are not screaming anti-American slurs; we are shouting AGAINST anything that violates what America is all about... Constitutional rights, freedom, liberty, fairness, justice, equality... er... have you ever heard of these words... do you KNOW what they mean, sonny? The same things that McCarthy tried to deny many Americans and now someone else is trying to do under the guise of Patriotism... be careful, youngster, you may get what you want only to have to live under conditions you will learn to regret!

well... has America ever done anything wrong?

how do you ever fix problems, if you say people aren't allowed to point them out?

granted, some may take it too far, but who's going to draw the line of what's "acceptable" and "unacceptable"... I wouldn't trust myself with a responsibilty that large, much less ANY OTHER MAN ALIVE...

and have Republicans ever said anything anti-American?

I remember they said quite a bit about a former president... where now they say that the President should be respected?

you're treading on very thin ice here... many nation's freedoms have died on these thin icy waters...

Oh so you are for limits on freedom of speech and the press?

Let me GUESS?

You must be a republican because a Democrat will always protect freedom and never set a limit on it. Its a shame people like you think this way, but we will always continue to protect your freedom to write such garbage on the internet.

Do the right thing and move away from the republican party which is no different than the terrorist group the IRA ( Irish republican army)

You deserve better and being a pawn to the republicans will only limit YOUR FREEDOM

nothing gives them the right. its the love of tax and spend. something for nothing is a popular support item and people never realize that they ultimately pay for it. this type of feel good or i feel your pain poltics hasnt worked since the johnson administration and sadly has taken on national security proportions with the cut and run mess. left wing extremists could care less who they step on to get what they want, its all about feeding special interest and "protecting the underdog". liberals have no shame, none whatsoever.

You call what they say anti-American. They call it pro-American.

Welcome to freedom of speech. Now -- discuss until you've said everything each of you wants to say. Repeat as needed.

And remember -- the only people who are against America and its core values are those who deny the Constitution, and try to silence anyone they don't like.

they are just trying to point the problems out. FREEDOM is the freedom of choice-which is the freedom to hate. so why not hate america ? its not illegal, we live in a democracy.
