Whats wrong is that they are allowed to call it a marriage. If they were to be given the same rights as married couples, but have their bond be called a civil union, it would change a few perspectives on it. Marriage is a sacred issue and should be reserved for male - female bonds. That keeps the normal people in their safe label world. Not co-mingled with the sick minded, morally corrupt culture that embraces same sex partnerships. Marriage is a blessed thing and same sex marriages tarnished its image to many. Changing its label to a civil union ends the religious argument and preserves the civil rights of the homo's. I will always feel gay marriages and or civil unions are wrong and immoral but find comfort in one side benefit. Every time a man marries another man, theres two more women available for real men. Sadly however, every time a lesbo marries another lesbo, cupid cries.

I'm not for it, per se, but I know I can't stop it. I might vote against it, but would it do any good? Either way, I don't think it's going to affect me one way or the other. It just means that I'll have more of a choice when it comes to fine, intelligent ladies to marry.

I agree with you.I am not a homophobe nor am I prejudice against gays.I feel what goes on behind the closed doors of two consenting adults is not my concern. However,I feel that marriage, by definition,is the union between a man and a woman.I would not object to a civil union but marriage,no.

I don't like two people of the same sex to get married. Is ugly seen two man kissing or two girls. My husband has a gay friend and sometimes he takes us to this gay club, where you can see gays dancing, kissing, huging and all that stuff and is nasty. We have stop going out with them because I am afraid my husband will turn gay.

My opinion on gay marriage is the same as my opinion on straight marriage.

If two people think that they can stand each other enough to live together for the rest of their lives they should have the right to be proved wrong. Limiting divorce to heterosexuals is discrimination and should not be tolerated.

Don't really have an opinion. Personally, I think gay people are more fun than straight, and they don't engage in PDAs like straight people do (gross!) One of the most common statements here is Why should't gay people get married, then they can be as miserable as the rest of us! (And I live in redneck Alberta!) I have a gay cousin who is married to another woman, and their relationship is more loving and functional than any of my uncle's 4 marriages!

God didn't create any man or woman as Gay, don't let people lie to you. Homosexuality is a perversion of man, God gave free will, so that we can make our own choices. He also gave us laws to live by, if you break these laws you will pay. Im not saying that just because someone is gay that they are going to Hell, many gays will go to Heaven, to go to Heaven the bible says you must believe that there was a christ and that he died on the Cross to forgive your sins, then you must ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins, not the Virgin Mary and not a Priest, or Saint, or anyone else but Jesus. I believe gay marriage is wrong.

i don't think we should have an opinion. everyone just accepts straight marriages. so how is it fair we get to debate gay marriages?? it's no one's business why a man and woman get married so why should it change when it comes to two men? i think everyone needs to concentrate on their own backyards just a little bit more, maybe then people would be too busy trying to fix what they don't like about themselves instead of nitpicking someone else to death.

if all people in the world will learn to love & marry only w/ the same sex, probably no one will live on earth after 20-50yrs, no baby's will be born, all people will just die without any propagation of generation.... what kind of an earth we will have then in the future?

Gay marriage is allowed in every state. A gay may can marry a lesbian woman with no problem.

What is illegal in most states is same-sex marriage. Which is pure gender-based discrimination, for no other reason than the majority religion happens to oppose it.

It's a perfect example of a religion claiming to be tolerant, and vehemently attacking anyone who is different.

It's shameful that the govt has decided to get into what is purely a religious debate, and try to limit people choosing who they want as life partners based solely on gender.
