Actually, Deckwood is a Trade Marked product of Tanalised, and is made from either tallowwood, ironbark, or spotted gum. Are you sure they were not saying, Deck Wood. Synthetic materials being used today, are sometimes called Deck Wood. Either is good, but you should clarify with the Realtor.

Maybe "deckwood" is pressure treated and waterproofed so as to be durable in an exposed condition.

Unpainted and outdoors, it needs to be able to resist weather damage and rot.

That means the wood has been treated and sealed so it will not rot or deteriorate from constant rain, high heat, strong wind, or freezing tempertures.
